Jason Wu—The Next at Target!

Yes, yes, yes! After Missoni, Jason Wu will be the next designer to hit Target! He announced that he has partnered with Target on a collection which will be both online and in-store on Feb. 5, 2012. Are you excited about this news? I have to admit that after reading the news this morning, I was very excited about it and couldn’t wait until next February!

The Manhattan-based Chinese American fashion designer is known for his signature fuss-free elegance. From gowns to daywear, Jason Wu’s designs all have clean lines and incorporated bright colors and prints. Her collection is welcomed by downtown young woman. They all appreciate Wu’s modern, wearable, and noteworthy pieces. Besides Michelle Obama, the celebrities such as Leighton Meester and January Jones are all his clients.

When talks about his collection for Target, Jason Wu said that his collection embodies his signature aesthetic of feminine sophistication, with a mischievous nod to the 1960s. Jason Wu For Target, Coming Next February

Does it sound like an 1960s trendy OL? Clean lines, simple silhouette, and a little bit of vintage feeling…it just makes me think about the glamorous girls in Funny Face, but more modern and casual. I guess Jason Wu will create a collection of modern-vintage pieces for Target which are my favorites all the time. Another exciting thing is that this collection includes apparel and accessory which will range from only $20-$60, for the occasion. Cheap chic, isn’t it?

I like Jason Wu’s original brand so much expect the price range…But now, I have a good opportunity to purchase his designs. I just expect that he will bring up some fresh ideas for his Target collection. As a fan of Jason Wu, I want to see the surprise!
